Whether you call it the British Open or The Open Championship, the season’s third major is here. The Open Championship returns to St Andrews “The Home of Golf” in July 2015 which will be the 144th Open Championship.

Gillis has twice played the Open, at Carnoustie in 1999 and Royal Birkdale in 2008, but he’s never played it at St. Andrews. His last trip there was as part of the Alfred Dunhill Links in 2012.

Open Championship Week begins Monday with Golf Central’s Live From St. Andrews on site at the Old Course at St. Andrews. Airing during Monday’s Live From St. Andrews, Americans Justin Thomas and Nicholas Thompson lead the field and Spieth may have to shoot a score in the region of four-under for his second round to make the cut and get in two more competitive rounds before the Open.
