Chile take on Mexico on Monday knowing a win will all but guarantee their qualification for the knockout stage of the Copa America. Chile will take on Mexico in the 2015 Copa America Group A clash at Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos on 15 June. Mexico will have designs on making it out of Group A and their failure to beat Bolivia will have come as a disappointing blow to their chances.
Victory in this match would all but book Jorge Sampaoli’s side’s spot in the last eight, with all of the other sides in their group having dropped points in their opening matches, and group minnows Bolivia still to come in their final pool fixture.
Mexico currently sit second in the standings after the opening round and will be aiming to oust Chile from the top spot with victory on Monday. The predicted result is another 2-0 win by Chile over Mexico. Sanchez will be dominant in this game for the hosts.
Mexico have not enjoyed a great run in recent times as they have managed just one win in the last five matches. Mexico were dealt another blow on Saturday by the news that veteran Rafa Marquez would be forced to sit out the remainder of the group stage with a leg injury.
