Gloucester lifted the Challenge Cup in 2006 and seeking a third final appearance, while the Chiefs are bidding to reach a European decider for the first time.
On Friday, Edinburgh booked their place in the final with an impressive 45-16 victory over Newport Gwent Dragons with confirmed signing for next season Tim Visser scoring one of the five Edinburgh tries.
The second semi-final saw Gloucester beat Exeter Chiefs by 30-19. Tries from Bill Meakes, Tom Savage and Jonny May ensured Gloucester reached their first final of the competition since 2006.
Exeter were 25-22 victors when they visited Kingsholm last September but Gloucester exacted revenge in the return fixture, holding on for a one-point win.
